Been Caught Stealing- February 2012 Guest Designer

We are excited to introduce our February 2012 Guest Designer, Brenda!

"Hello all! My name is Brenda Smith and I can't even begin to express how ecstatic I am at having been asked to be the CKCB Guest Designer this month. I have always thought myself to be a creative person and have tried my hands at all sorts of art forms. My scrapbooking journey began in July of 2010 when my daughter was 3 months old. It seemed like she was doing new things every day and I wanted to be sure that I would remember those memories in the years to come. Scrapbooking has become a form of self-expression as well as a means of memory preservation and I cannot imagine loving any other craft as much I love paper crafts. I am now quite the collector of scrapbooking supplies and have greatly appreciated the inspiration CKCB provides to use up my rather large stash. I am blessed to be on the design team for Authentique Paper. The owners and my fellow DT members have been such a joy to work with and I feel I have learned so much from all of them.

I live in Southern California with my husband Adam and my daughter Harper. I was home-schooled up until 9th grade by my art-loving mom and had the love of creating instilled in me from a very young age. I have a large family with nine siblings, seven nieces and nephews, and two sets of parents. Needless to say, holidays are always lots of fun and very loud. I work as a nanny and love my job. Even though the hours can be long and the work is often difficult, it is also very rewarding. I am about to start a new job and am looking forward to getting to know a new family. 

With working full time and coming home to a (very busy) toddler of my own, my scrapping time seems to be diminishing. But I squeeze it in as often as possible and am looking forward to the inspiration and encouragement that will come with this month's CKCB. I can't wait to see what you all will create with your kits this month. I am always inspired by everyone's creations and know that this month will be no exception.
