I am a layering kind of girl. I love sweaters and scarves and in my scrapbooking I DREAD mailing flat cards just to save postage. I always feel like the need more of something.
Challenge ON!
Challenge #1: One Layer Challenge: Make a project from your kit using only one layer.
What, you say? What are you talking about?
Take a peek HERE at the Hero Arts Blog...and they have a bit of a contest you can still get in on for this...
Need some ideas? Oh, we have some for you!
Susanne used stamping and a rub-on background for her card with a simple color scheme. See another shot as well as her tips and tricks on her blog.

Guest Designer Sherri says: I love layering embellishments on my cards-buttons, twine, flowers, veneer, lots of chunky goodness! Making a card with just a single layer was a huge challenge for me! I tried to think of techniques that stayed true to my usual card making style while still keeping my card truly one layer. Double-sided patterned paper and its salvage edge, scoring, a die-cut "window", and Stickles all helped me add some fun elements to this one layer card! Visit her blog HERE to find out more!
Lynnette sticks mostly to scrapping. Card making? Not so much. Since she's not actually entering the Hero Arts contest, she bent the rules a bit and created this "almost" one-layer layout. Shhhh! You won't tell, right! LOL!
Leslie had a bit of a false start but ended up with this peekaboo card:

End of the Month Blog Hop:
On the 24th of each month we offer a blog hop opportunity to all of our followers! A chance for you to show off a special project made with your counterfeit kit for that month.
Here is how it will work:
Your Blog Hop Project may be from any of the 3 challenges we offer throughout the month.
Your project must be something new that you have not shown before and only post for the hop.
To be a part of our blog hop:
1. E-mail us your name/blog address/promise to participate at counterfeitkitchallenge@yahoo.com BY THE 18th! (No late requests will be able to join this time due to the work it takes for us to get it put together.)
2. You will receive an e-mail from us by the 20th with a list of the hop participants.
3. You will need to schedule your own blog post showing your project based on this challenge and links to the person after you in the hop.
4. All Blog Hop posts will need to be scheduled to go live on the 24th at 12:00 A.M. Mountain Standard Time (Arizona)
