Wedding Cards: Part One

Hello, crafty friends!  It is Bethany here and I am ready to explore the world of wedding cards with you!  I have to admit that I do not attend a lot of weddings.  Most of my friends and former students live far away, so I have to miss those special events in their lives.  It is nice to be able to mark the occasion with a nice card, though.  I guess having some on hand is not a bad idea after all.

I started my kit with a beautiful paper from Crate Paper's Paper Heart Collection.  You can see it in the middle of my stack with the pretty floral shapes and soft colors.

I used that floral as my color pallet and added some cream, green, blue, pink and grey papers.  I also threw in some wood grain as a nice neutral base and some vellum for some subtle patterns.

I quickly went through my stash (like in 10 minutes) and pulled some fun stamps, wood vaneers, ribbons, some stickers and enamel dots and sequins.  My goal is to make pretty, but quick cards, since this theme is not one that I will be sending out many of.

Next up is to pull together a card.  My go to for this was Pinterest.  I have been pinning card ideas in anticipation of Christmas card and have some really fun ideas on my board.  To see all of the cards I have pinned you can go

The card I settled on for today is from Paper Wishes.  It is a simple card with lots of layers and you can find it HERE.

I will fess up now, I didn't stress about pulling anything extra that I needed that was not in my kit and neither should you.  We like things flexible around there.

It is a bit girly, but hey, it is a wedding day!  I'll be back tomorrow with some more cards and LOTS of inspiration for you to get you moving on some wedding cards!
