Document December with Kelly: My Project

Welcome! I am back today to show you the album I am creating from my December kit, Very Merry.

I began my album by making two-page spreads from patterned paper and journaling cards.

Then I created the title page. I absolutely love this reindeer print!

While we were out Christmas shopping recently, I took a family picture. I included this photo on the opening spread of my album.

The first few spreads are dedicated to Christmas decorations around my house. I have done some journaling, but I will be adding more as the month goes along.

This spread documents our first Christmas shopping trip this year. I have purposely left some sections of the page protectors with only patterned paper because I just love the prints! This mouse pattern was my second favorite paper (after the reindeer) in the collection.

The next pages tell about our trip to a local parade. My daughter was on one of the floats, so we went to watch. (I must admit that it is ironic that much of this patterned paper has a snow theme, considering we are experiencing the warmest December in years. It was 70F yesterday!)

I have also added some extra pages in the album, like this one, that are envelopes and full-size photos to add extra interest to the project.

And that is my album so far! I have been having so much fun using my kit, Very Merry, to create my project. I will post again on my blog when I have the entire album finished.

Happy rest of December!

  3. That reindeer paper is darling and makes a great title page! I completely agree about the weather too - I've got a lot of snowflakes in my DD and our temperatures haven't been below 40 degrees yet. I like that you've added some envelopes; always great to have them to hold little bits and pieces. Have fun working on the rest of your album!

  4. isn't it funny how we can have the same collection but different parts appeal differently to each of us! I loved this collection and my mini was full of it too but I skipped both of your favourites! But I really love how you've showcased the papers you love the most and have left so much of it on show - a fave trick of mine too. I was only just saying to my husband that we missed getting a family shot this year - how do I forget each year! Getting it on the list to do at some point soon. Great mini Kelly! Well done for getting so far along!
