So how about picking out some papers in yellow, green and orange to get the feel of the Cocoa Daisy Kit. Or something with a chevon, circles or a hexagon pattern.
Then add in a few embellishments - paperclips, tags and labels, maybe even a die cut or two.
Don't forget to use your tools. Grab a hexagon punch or die set and maybe even a stamp set. If you don't have that shape, make your kit with the shape you do have. That's the fun of Counterfeiting a kit.

Looks like a great summertime color palette to try! Citrus-packed colors! Hexagons are very trendy, too! Maybe I will finally get serious and put together a counterfeit kit before the month is over!!?!!
ReplyDeleteI just linked up my blog post that showcases my August kit that I've assembled and even some stenciled cut-outs made within the first hour after pulling mostly old papers and cardstocks together! Check out the photos and see if you notice/reference the originals within my inventory.
ReplyDelete3rd comment here but 4 post for August 2018 kit being used! Six cards were made this evening using most papers and cardstock from my original copy cat kit. A few 'new' papers were added in order to bring some more orange, cream and green to the mix. I had a very challenging sketch layout from another FB group I was trying to use, but even with lots of modifying, I'm not super thrilled with the overall look, but I'm happy to use some old inventory and even happier that these are getting donated to an elderly care center to brighten and give them happy mail to receive!
