August 2019 - Challenge #1 - Tabs and Clips

Hi everyone. Today we have a Tabs and Clips challenge.  First a reminder of the inspiration kit:

the main kit

Challenge #1: Our Inspiration kit from Citrus Twist has some of the cutest paperclips and tabs in it. I tend to put them in a little dish and they just don't make it onto a layout.

Our challenge today is to create a project that uses the tabs and clips. It can be a tab you created and stamped on, put a sticker on or just a plain tab.

The clip can be one of the many shapes that are out there, a clip you bent into a shape, a regular paper clip or butterfly clip or one you decorated.

Guest Designer Kate Blue has this to say about Challenge #1:

I love clips because they come in so many shapes and sizes but I always have to stop myself from using too many!

For this layout, I simply added two and kept a lot of white space. I also wanted to show that  themed paper clips don't have to be put on "themey" layouts so you can use that whole pack of clips up on different kinds of layouts!

Julene has used 2 paperclips plus a tab on this layout.

and on this one as well.

Cindy has used a dog bone paper clip and a tab on her layouts.

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us.
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcaugust2019).

  1. I love using both tabs and clips so this is a fun challenge for me! I adore the clips you've both used here - scanning my own stash for what funky designs I have...
