Season's Greetings - December 23rd with Lori

Hello, everyone! Lori here today with another holiday card for you.

Season's Greetings

For today's card, I decided to share with you what I do when the busyness of the holiday season messes with my mojo and makes it hard to create. I go with what I know, so today's card is going to be a compilation of my three previous posts - using a sketch, using a pocket card, and using silver or gold.

Using what you know

Here is what I came up with:

I had originally planned on making something with watercolors. I should not have decided to try something so out of my comfort zone during the holiday season! I love the look of a watercolored background but I just can never seem to get it to look the way I want! It was causing me a great deal of frustration which in turn messed with my creativity, so I fell back on what I know best, using a sketch.

I found this sketch that I had pinned to my card sketch Pinterest board and had my starting point.

I had some of my December Daily goodies on my desk and it wasn't hard to find papers and a pocket card to work with. I added a strip of silver glitter paper to the bigger strip of diagonal striped paper and die cut a silver glitter star to add to the top of the card.

Another quick card ready to give this holiday season.

Just a little reminder today that when life gets busy or when your mojo has decided to take a break - just fall back on what you know and are comfortable with and you will be back in the swing of things in no time!

You know that we LOVE it when you share!

So, if you are inspired to make your own cards, layouts or projects - from Season's Greetings, a previous Christmas special, a Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit that you haven't quite used up or a new kit inspired by any one of our dozens and dozens of inspirational kits - you can share in these places:

See you tomorrow for more CKC inspiration!

Merry Christmas!
