March 2022 - Killing The Kit!

Whew!  March always seems so long after the shorter month of February, doesn't it?  Here we are, though, at the end of March and I am going to be talking with you about Killing Your Kit!  Let me remind you again of the inspiration kit from Citrus Twist.

How did you do with your kit this month?  Do you need ideas for your leftovers? I am here to give you a few ideas to completely kill that kit!

My first suggestion would be to use a sketch to use up any full sheets of patterned paper and scraps you might have!  How about this sketch? You can find this sketch and a few more at Page Maps.  This is one of their March 2022 sketches and it's very cute.  You could flip it.  You could leave out the two tiny photos and put die cuts or embellishments from your kit in their places.

Another way to "Kill The Kit" is to set aside stuff for your next CKCB kit!  I have a ton of embellishments and Thickers leftover this time.  I am setting aside these items for April's kit.  By now, you should have seen the Sneak Peek and you can see the colors work for April.

I also had some scraps and such that I still wanted to use.

I ended up creating this layout with those bits and pieces.  The leftover Thickers and the word gather will go back into their designated home in my scrappy space.

There are other things leftover and all of those things will go into their place in my scrappy space.  One of the things I am trying to do this year is to finish setting up the Color Binders where I can stick leftover stickers, die cuts, etc into them so I can find them easily.  I started these in 2021 and have been slowly setting them up.  My leftover CKCB kit embellishments have been put away into them every few months as time has allowed.  Mine are still a work in progress, but here they are siting on my Kallax shelf in my space!

If you are interested in how to do the Color Binders, you can find out more information from RTS Scrapbooking (Janet Madison) who taught me how to do them via YouTube.

Don't forget that we will be picking a winner of the free kit that Anna made from her store front over at Piece Craft Love!  We'll announce the winner for that by Sunday evening!!

Please remember to join us tomorrow for the April Inspiration Kit Reveal and Blog Hop!!

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcmarch2022).

  1. Beautiful LO, I love the BIG title. BTW I ended up watching J's You T. video on colour binders again! LOL! Agree with stashing leftovers for future LOs- getting them in an organized spot sure helps.
