August 2023 - Challenge #2 - Happy (Summer) Days

My my! We are over half-way through August already and it's time for me to give you our second challenge of the month!

A reminder of the inspiration kit we are working with in August:

Pink and Paper Subscription Club - June kit

Challenge #2 - Happy (Summer) Days!

Be inspired by the Happy Days die cuts featuring sunshine, citrus fruits, flowers, rainbows, butterflies to make a project about the happy days of summer OR sunny times

Master Forger Julene has featured bicycles, butterflies, and a sun on her layout.

Master Forger Misty was inspired to use lovely fruit icons on her layout about playing games in the summer. She often has a hard time using icons that don't "match" the story so this was a very good challenge to get her out of her comfort zone!

Master Forger Christine was also inspired to use yellow and happy flowers for this fun layout about summertime cocktails at the baseball game.

Master Forger Leslie enjoyed a sweet memory from last summer, using a b-side paper, a little mixed media, and a few playful puffy stickers to punctuate the summer fun!

Master Forger Tina has featured butterflies and florals on her layout about a summer trip years ago.

Here is what the rest of the month of August's inspiration will look like:

  • 24th August - Follower's Showcase - who has caught our eye this month.
  • 29th August - Killing the Kit - an idea or two focusing on using up the bits and pieces left in your kit.

You know that we always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcaugust2023).
