February Just The Gist Of It

Welcome to our post for "Just the Gist Of It"

When I chose this kit (range) of items I was looking for something with browns and earthy tones.
Perhaps that is a good start!

The papers have browns, creams, black, sage and a forest green.

There is a feel of being inside an old museum of natural history.

Specimens of birds, butterflies, bugs ,feathers etc.

There are bird cages and watches that hark back to Victorian times.

Add in film strips, frames, rulers or tape measures.

Think scientific!

Perhaps the collectables show it best

Though these tones are "old world", you could make up a similar kit with brighter colours.

As always, we love seeing your work, so be sure to share your forgeries, kits and projects with us. You can do this by using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitkitchallenge and share with #counterfeitkitchallenge )

  1. I've started a preliminary pile with a bit of January leftovers and then 'new' items not used in past 6 months. Super excited about trying to copy cat these fabulous botanicals from Kaisercraft!!!
