March 2019 - Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit reveal & blog hop

It's good to be here on the first of the month to welcome you all to March

Yes, spring is on its way and I'm so thrilled to be able to inspire you with a wonderful kit full of happy colours and fun elements. This month's kit is Scrapbook And Cards Today "Blue Skies & Butterflies" which was showcased in spring 2018.

I was particularly drawn to the wonderful spring-like shades and all those fun words, florals and butterflies - you can never have too many butterflies!

You can also find layout inspiration directly from the designers who used the original kit

I'm totally delighted to welcome back our beloved former team member Susanne as our Guest Designer this month. She's such a wonderful, creative scrapbooker - not to mention prolific, organised and inspirational - and I'm so happy that she's joining us in March.

"Hi there, this is Susanne, a scrappy Midwesterner living a simple retired semi-rural life in Indiana with my husband of 30+ years.  Both our children grown and on their own, so I have plenty of time to putter in my upstairs studio. Puttering often turns into pretty layouts and pocket page spreads.  You may remember I was previously on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge design team, before taking a 2 year blogging break. All the while, I kept tabs on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge's Facebook group, and I am delighted to be back as your guest designer this month.  It is the perfect joyous way to jump-start my scrapbooking and my return to blogging at Snaps And Snippets. I hope you will come visit."

Here's the kit reveal blog hop list so that you don't miss out on any of the fun:
We'll be back throughout the month to give you some tips, ideas and challenges
as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up this month:
  • March 2nd: I'll be back with a "Just the Gist" post to help jump-start your kit-making.
  • March 4th:  We'll have our "Forgery on the Fourth" post where the Master Forgers will reveal how they created their own version of some of the items in this month's kit.
  • March 6th:  We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • March 12th & 18th:  We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us!
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community
or share them on Instagram
(we are @counterfeitkitchallenge and you can tag us using
#counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcmarch2019).

Thanks for stopping by today - I'll be back tomorrow with some ideas to
help you put together your kit!

  2. I linked up my kit. I am taking a new approach (for me) by copying the inspo kit as closely as I was able to do.

    1. I really like this approach and I've done it myself some months in the past. It's great to mix things up to keep the variety going!
