February 2020 - Forgery on the Fourth

Master Forger Julene has chosen our February inspiration kit.

"Fall under the dark, romantic spell of Darcelle by Frank Garcia for Prima. This mesmerizing and delicately elegant collection is filled with indigo blues, boysenberry purples, and medallion golds for creating projects that will leave you speechless. Design a mixed media panel, love-filled card, or gorgeous notebook pages filled with vintage charm and beautiful accents. Discover wild and free sentiments, curious butterflies, whispers of foil, and glittering jewels in the secrets that Darcelle holds"

was tempted to curate my kit just by this inspiring description!

Let's see what the team has come up with:

Guest Designer Katherine Boddy Blue jumped right in with this stunning paper forgery:

Master Forger Tara is keeping her "forgery" simple this month since she's in the middle of a move to another state. She found some cut files on the Silhouette Store to cut for use in her kit. Here's a photo of her cart at the Silhouette Store that includes the design numbers so you can find them and get them for yourself!

Here is what she decided to cut with her Cameo.

Master Forger Leslie crafted this whimsical bee!

 ...plus some forged foam alphas.

Master Forger Cindy used her dies, stamps and Cricut to make a few embellishments.

Master Forger Tracey has done a quick and simple tag and some fussy cut bees to use on projects later in the month. She has quick and easy step by steps on her blog.

Master Forger Shannon created these cute little bees with a bit of Sculpey clay, craft paints, Nuvo drops and branding strip papers.

There's more to come this month as we aim to give you some tips, ideas and challenges as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up:
  • February 6th:  We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • February 12th & 18th:  We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • February 24th:  I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
  • February 30th: We'll be offering another installment in our {Killing Kits} series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us.
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcfebruary2020).

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
