Welcome back to today's post and it's all about going small. Perhaps you don't have time to do a full kit, or maybe you just like certain aspects of the kit? Then a mini kit maybe the answer for you!
Our Inspiration Kit:
Master Forger Clair
This month's kit is the most wonderful winter to spring transition kit, with it's rich, warm colours. I love the combination of small, delicate details and, of course, the focus on leaves and florals.
I'm determined to whittle down my stash of scraps, so my kit this month only includes leftovers. There are no sheets that are more than 9x12 (and only three of those) with lots and lots of scraps. Then, embellishment wise, I've included only die cuts and sticker sheets that have already been opened. I also have a bundle of branding strips to use. All I intend to add to this lovely Maggie Holmes and Felicity Jane focused mix is some white cardstock!
Finally, I've decided to set myself a target (which I never, ever do) of making at least ten cards or layouts before I set my kit aside. It's time to use those scraps! :)
And ... for the first of those ten, I used the Concentric Hearts Cutfile from Paige Evans, to cut lots and lots of my smaller scraps into a cascade of hearts which I stacked, stitched and added to a basic white card base. I then used a sentiment from my favourite set, the Tiny Words Set by Simon Says Stamp, and a little heart sticker from the Sweet Story Collection. One done, let's see how many I can make by the end of the month!

I loved the soft tones and all of the hearts that are in the inspiration kit, they are what spoke to me and that is where I started with my kit. I pulled three different heart papers and then went looking for papers to match, keeping in mind the colors in the inspiration kit. I might have gone a bit overboard in the embellishment department but I will have a good variety when making my projects. Here is my kit:
I have at least two layouts planned for this kit, possibly three. Here is the first layout that I have made:
You can read all about my layout and see my kit in more detail over on my blog - My Happy Life.
There's plenty to keep you inspired this month so don't forget to come back here regularly for ideas and challenges. The month is going to look like this:

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcfebruary2021).
