April 2021 - Just the Gist of It

Welcome back to the blog for Just the Gist of It!

The idea behind this post is to give you a possible starting point for your kit. 

Sometimes, we find ourselves looking at the inspiration kit and we just don't know where to start. Maybe the inspiration kit is just not our style but we still want to find a way to create a kit that is. Perhaps we want to get our kit pulled together quickly and then an easy starting point might be just the thing we are looking for. Or maybe you'd like to change things up and try a new way of pulling your kit together. 

Whatever your reason for needing a little help in getting started, we are here to help.

Let's just remind ourselves of the fabulous inspiration kit this month:

Scrapbooks & Cards Today Garden Party kit

 Think light, fresh & pretty! Here is how SCT described the kit:  

 Celebrate the arrival of a fresh new season with our spring kit, Garden Party! This colourful collection captures the colours and patterns of spring... Let’s tiptoe through the tulips and dance in the daffodils at the Garden Party!

 Perhaps that general vibe can set the tone for your version?

 And for this month only, in honor of April Fool's Day yesterday, you have this option - PERMISSION TO GO ROGUE!!! (That's how I roll.)  

On the off chance that this is TOTALLY uninspiring or you have a theme specific project to accomplish this month, there are other SCT seasonal kits available as well HERE. 

 Because the products in the kit are from last year, I'll bet you have a piece or two for starters. Personally I started with this pack of sweetness from Bloom Street. Will look so much better in the light & out of that dark drawer!
