Hey! Master Forger Tara back today to help you get a kit curated from your own stash! Are you having trouble with knowing where to start? Or too many choices? Let me try to help you!
Here is a reminder of what our current kit looks like:
There's a ton of red in that collage of the various kits and extras. Maybe you don't really care for red, or any other color in the main kit. Leave it out!!
You could choose to curate your kit from one of these color palettes I created over at Color Palette Generator. Let's see if this will spark something for you!
Look! No red at all in this color palette!! Maybe you need a less "girly" color palette. This one might help you out a little bit!
If color palettes are not your thing to spark inspiration and creativity, then maybe take one of the photos from kits and draw your inspiration from there. I chose the basis of my kit off the washi tape kit.
I have a very similar roll of washi sitting on my desktop from a recent splurge. From there, I looked at the papers in the kit.
I see a yellow dot, a tone on tone red dot, lemon, plaid, a floral, a damask, a floral damask, and a watercolor type print. You can easily just dig into your stash of papers and find papers that are close or even mimic these!
Maybe you wanted to draw inspiration from just the embellishments!
I see word stickers, tabs, label stickers, floral stickers, etc to pull from your stash. I know that we all have a stash of beautiful embellishments to draw from, but you can also create your own from your dies or cut files! This kit is just full of wonderful things to inspire you! I really hope this post helps you to find and curate a beautiful kit this month!
Make sure to continue to check in with us. We have lots up our sleeve this month to help you to USE your kit after you have created it!
