November 2021 - Forgery on the Fourth

We're back today to give you an idea or two of how to make your own elements for your November Counterfeit kit!

Let's just have a quick look again at the original inspiration kit from Felicity Jane - September 2021 Emily

Felicity Jane - September 2021 kit Emily

Of course, Felicity Jane kits are full of exclusive products so making up your own embellishments or having a go at re-creating the papers can be a fun way of getting the same look even if you are not a subscriber!

These tutorials are often so simple and easy that it really is a perfect chance to try out an idea or two - make sure you share if you do! We love it when are motivated to give it a go!

Now it's time to see what our talented team have come up with - this is always such an inspiration for me. The Master Forgers often create things that would just not have crossed my mind.

So talented, so resourceful, so inspirational!

Guest Designer Susanne was inspired by the journalling cards.

"I tried my hand at some forgeries - specifically journaling cards. The featured Felicity Jane card that was divided into thirds caught my eye. So I tried my hand at it.

The top card is actually one with a thank-you message on the back that was included in my old kit, I simply added the floral to the middle.

On the second card, I tried to recreate the honeycomb pattern with my stamp, and was fairly successful.

enjoyed playing around with 2 different colors on the other cards too."

Master Forger Tara created some library cards that are very similar to the ones in the inspiration kit!

Check out her blog here to get the details!

Master Forger Julene did her own checked paper using a white gel pen.

Keep a ruler close by so you don't run totally "off the rails"

and close up

MF Lisa fell in love with this autumn printable from the Old Salt Farm blog - you really have to check it out and download to print! You could fussy cut out the elements as die cuts for your kit or just print it as a card to include in your kit! Too gorgeous!

MF Juliet went rogue (nothing new for her) and noticed the chipboard flare.  She doesn't have a lot of chipboard but she loves flair.  She has made these in the past.  She has these 1" and 1.5" epoxy discs.  She either punches out the circles or she will even just stick them down and cut them out. She even has some plastic blank 'button's' and made a few with those.

Here is the finished product:

MF Misty was inspired by the number chipboard circles as well as the phrase sticker sheet, so she forged both of those.

The numbered circles were created with an old stamp from her stash and a circle punch. They were layered up with extra punched circles to give it the thickness of chipboard.

The word strips were made with a newer Concord & 9th stamp and die set made for greeting card sentiments. The words are general enough to be great for scrapbook sentiments!

Here you can see the whole pile.

And on each side of the pile there are individual words as well as phrases that can be easily used for layouts.

Master Forger Laura created some days of the week stamped images!

“I made my own version of the days of the week stamps in the kit. I just chose a font I liked on the computer, typed the days, printed and fussy cut them out! Easy peasy!”
