September 2022 - Challenge #2 - Lace It Up

Wow...this month is going by so fast!  Today is the 18th and that means it is time for Challenge #2!

First, let me remind you that I picked the digi kit by Traci Reed called Wildflower for inspiration this month.

And focusing on the 12x12 papers and stickers

This challenge is one I'm calling LACE IT UP.

The sneakers (both paper and elements) just really are cute!  Reminds me of one of my daughter obsession with Converse High Tops…she had several different pairs.  For this challenge I would love to see something ‘laced’ on your layout or card or paper crafting! Think inside and outside the box!

Master Forger Julene has thought of a corset using brads and ribbons. She added lace along the edges of the torn section at the top.  Her daughter was dressed up as a Victorian lady and actually wearing a corset in this photo.

Master Forger Leslie is starting a gratitude project & used the 2021 Cocoa Vanilla These Days A5 papers to make a mini-book with a laced baker's twine binding! All kit elements except the tiny flowers were fussy-cut from the papers.

Master Forger Tara created this layout using a sneaker cutfile which she laced with twine. Check out her blog for more information!!!

MF Lisa wanted to record a happy group photo and used the lacing as a metaphor for the friendships she has with this fabulous group of women!

Using white twine, it's a subtle touch but perfect for the message she wants to convey with this layout. Her Simple Stories based kit made the choice of products easy and this came together quite quickly - even with the twiddly lacing!
