February 2024 - Challenge #2 - Color Palette

Who’s ready for another challenge to get you creating?! It’s time for our second challenge of the month to inspire you to dive into your stash kits!

For me, I am immediately drawn to colors in all things scrapbooking. So, I wanted to use the color palette of our inspiration kit as the second challenge this month. There’s a lot of color in this one, so I used an online generator to pull out a handful of the colors in the kit photo & your challenge is to use at least (3) of these colors on your project. You can use any other colors you’d like, but at least 75% of the project should feature the color palette

This color palette works so well for all things little boy! Master Forger Brandi took a more grunge-y approach to this color palette for today's challenge!

The rusted diamond plate paper from Mintay's "Garage" served as a great jumping off point for the rest of this layout! So many different collections represented in these clusters!

Finally, she used a herringbone stencil from Simple Stories to mimic tire treads & added a couple of ink splatters to tie in a few more hints of color.

Misty chose the navy blue, orange, and then had a hard time with the third color. The closest paper in her kit was a woodgrain between the left tan-ish shade and the right gray shade. She wants to remind you when taking on challenges, do the best you can and don't stress about it!

Master Forger Jody leaned heavily on the orange/tan side of the color palette to create this almost-monochromatic layout!

Here's what's on tap for the rest of the month! Be sure to check back in with us!
