Prima Look-Alike Flower Tutorials

Apparently one can NEVER have too many different styles of flowers!  The following Prima Flowers are included in the Scraps of Darkness Kit and Romance Add-On Kit.

Below are a few great tutorials for re-creating Prima Flowers...
These look fairly similar to the multi colored Prima Roses pictured above http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/2010/08/flower-tutorial-making-water-distressed.html

This is another "Prima Look Alike" tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_hFRymeVfo&feature=related

If you look close, there is a piece of burlap behind the black and white Primas...so here was a cool burlap flower tutorial...they they can be colored with the homemade glimmer glaze!    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSGU1LBegJA

Here are a few of the flowers that we choose to use in our Counterfeit Kits...

  3. Love your take on kits!! I too love Flowers, so if you would like to see my take on many flowers plus a few of my own creations, come and visit my blog. In the sidebar to your right, I have lots of tutorials to create your own flowers in paper, ribbon and fabric. Nice to see Swirlydoos listed as one of your favorite kit clubs, where I am the Design Team Coordinator.

  9. I just LOVE making my own flowers. With inks and paints (and, of course stamps, too), we can make them to match all of our layouts:)

Here is a link to another version of amazing "frugal" homemade flowers:)
