Why, yes it is!
I know the year seems to be flying by, but look at all of the creating that you are getting done! My kids are freshly out of school and trying to juggle work, hanging out with them and crafting can be a struggle, but one that is worth trying to manage. My room is ready to go...I just need some good great ideas!
Have you ever LOVED something so much and then you changed and evolved and moved on from it? That is my relationship with Basic Grey. LOL It was my first introduction to an actual line of products and I collected them all for quite a while. My tastes changed, though, as the more distressed look did not fit the style of scrapping I was wanting to do. I moved on.
Well, I took another look at them, recently...
Basic Grey has certainly refreshed it's image and created some amazing patterns and color pallets that are drawing me right back in. Nicely played, paper company.
In honor of their wooing me back, we are basing our kit this month on Basic Grey's New Collections. How will you know which ones are new? There is a little "what's new" tab on their page that has Eight very different and fresh collections you can browse. How about that?
I'm going to post here photos of their new collections, but you really should go to their website to get a much better look.
SO...Pick one of the above kits OR even mix and match papers to come up with your own version of a Basic Grey kit this month! Browse around their site to peek at the matching embellishments or go ROGUE in your stash to pull things you think would work! Oh, how to pick!!! For me, South Pacific, Adrift and Aurora have my attention right away.
We are happy to welcome Emma as our Guest Designer for June. You can look at her very creative and ambitious work HERE on Flicker (be in awe of how many layouts she gets done).
Hi, I'm Emma and I'm ridiculously excited to be chosen as guest designer for the month of June.I live in Bristol, the UK with my husband, our 4 children , our puppy Ted, our bearded dragon Dave and our 2 skinny pigs, Percy and Steve.I’ve been scrapping for about 12 years and I still LOVE it , probably more now than I did when I started.I love a good challenge, it can be anything scrap related as long as it pushes my boundaries, i think you never can learn too much and its always great to try new things. that's why i love counterfeit so much as it makes me use papers that I'm not always 100% comfortable using but I do it anyway:)I've been joining in with counterfeit kit for 2 months now, June being my third…. and I solely use items from my kit for the whole month. This may not sound much but when you scrap everyday like I do it can add up to mountains. My scrappy style is usually quite minimal but not to the extreme. I use a lot of patterned paper and hardly any basic cardstock, unless I'm matting photos. i like to mix brands and colours but also love white space. I use my sewing machine quite often and try to use my Cricut as much as possible.I cant wait to get stuck in to June and look forward to seeing how you all get on with the June kit, its a fab one!!!
Aren't you anxious to see what BG collection inspired each of our Design Team this month? There was a buzz that it was so hard to pick! Check out the blog hop we pulled together to get some inspiration for your own kit.
