April 2022 - Forgery on the Fourth

We're back today to give you an idea or two of how to make your own elements for your April Counterfeit kit!

Let's just have a quick look again at the original inspiration kit from Papers & Beyond:

Follow Your Bliss by Papers & Beyond

This feature is all about the fun of having a go at making up your own embellishments or re-creating the papers as a way of getting the same look as the inspiration kit even if you don't have any of the original items.

These tutorials are often so simple and easy that it really is a perfect chance to try out an idea or two. Make sure you share if you do, we love it when are motivated to give it a go!

Now it's time to see what our talented team have come up with - this is always such an inspiration for me. The Master Forgers often create things that would just not have crossed my mind.

So talented, so resourceful, so inspirational!

MF Leslie went a little forge-happy... and left a mess behind LOL!

Blog post

MF Juliet LOVED the large titles she saw in the Vicki Boutin ephemera.  She realized how often we can make our own so she played on her Cricut and wa-la.....

MF Julene forged 2 of the papers using blue watercoloured paint.

The first one was done by dipping a drinking tumbler in the paint then the second was an all over wash.

MF Lisa went Pinterest searching for some watercolour effect printables and came up with a whole bunch of gorgeous designs. They come in different sizes and formats but I'm sure they could be adjusted to use on scrappy projects.
First off is this post here at The Happy Housie which features 6 stunning watercolour florals that can be emailed to you. They are just gorgeous! Then at the bottom of the post, there are some links to other possibles such as:
You can see more detail on Tara's Blog.

MF Tina created that fun Field Notes "Daydreamer" paper that looks like coffee rings with ink and a stencil

More about this paper is seen over at Tina's blog

Master Forger Misty snuck in here with another forgery of button like elements. She used punches and some Nuvo drops to mimic the look of wood rimmed button flair.
