April 2022 - Just The Gist of It

Sometimes it's hard to know where to begin when building your own kit using our inspiration kits and Just The Gist Of It aims to help!

We offer one possible starting point to get you going.

Please remember that there is no single way to build and create your own kits, and whichever direction your kit goes, as long as you like it and get to showcase supplies that you love or want to use, it's all good!

Go with the flow and your kit will be perfect! 

Here's a quick reminder of this month's inspiration kit:

Follow Your Bliss by Papers & Beyond

As always, there are so many different directions you could take for this month's kit but I have decided to pick out one single sheet of paper which, for me, brings together everything I love about this selection of product:

the Vicki Boutin "Wander Always" paper from the Field Notes collection.

Here we have the water colour effects, the feathers (with of course daisies on the b-side), the feelings of nature and springtime and of course, those gorgeous colours - aqua, blue, pink, raspberry and a hint of yellowy gold. The background isn't white but a soft cream and there are several patterns to be found on or around the feathers: small dots, splatters, tone on tone wash, tiny geometrics, repeated small and larger patterns and very often a one-third/two-third design principle.

Make all those points into a list and I think that would be a great starting point for any kit!
