September 2023 - Forgery on the Fourth

We're back today to give you an idea or two of how to make your own embellishments or elements for your own kit!

Let's just have a quick look again at our inspiration kit this month from the (Not) Just for Boys Kit Club

Master Forger Misty was at it again with over-doing things, LOL. She was inspired by the cut file, the tickets, the enamel elements and the fabric arrows. With all that inspiration, she created this pile of embellishments.

She also created her own cut file that you can download from her blog for free and cut it out of whatever papers you use in your kit!

Master Forger Tara recreated the NJFB "Aurora" Baubles.  She even created a short video tutorial!

Here's the video:

Master Forger Tina also tried her hand at creating the NJFB "Aurora" Baubles. She had tried mists to sparkle up some flat pearls but found that didn't work so she then tried glitter glue:

Here she is adding it to the pearls

This seemed to work and this is the finished creation

Master Forger Julene was short of purple papers, so used her mists and masks to create 3 pages.

(Simple idea, but useful.)

One of them was a 6x6 size mask so it created the 4 corner squares, which will be covered by photos.

We still have plenty more inspiration this month so here is what the rest of September is going to look like:

  • 6th September: Mini-kit Reveal and Project Showcase - inspiration for a smaller kit or project idea
  • 12th & 18th September: Challenges #1 & #2 - to inspire you to get creating from your own kit
  • 24th September: Follower Showcase - who has caught our eye this month
  • 30th September: Killing Kits - an idea or two for using up the bits & pieces left in your kit box

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. Post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcseptember2023).

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
