And we're back... for our second challenge of the month to get us all using our kits up.
A reminder of our inspiration kit this month.
For our Challenge #2, I'm offering you a fabulous January Page Maps Sketch!
We know that you all love a good sketch and Page Maps (www.pagemaps.com) has been giving us awesome designs for over 13 years, so of course that's where I went to find a great January sketch for us this month.
Take this sketch and make it your own!
Guest Designer Melodee surprised me with a contribution for this challenge too which was fabulous! And not only one layout but also a second one! Now that's a sign of a good sketch.
She told me, "I loved this sketch so much I did two. Sketches are always a good starting point for any layout whether you copy it or make it your own. On my winter layout I used glimmer and glacier Nuvo paste. I wish I could have captured the shimmer from it! Have fun experimenting with this sketch and don’t forget to post your creation!"

Master Forger Cindy dug into her bag of scrap paper for this layout.

As usual, I've spun the sketch on its side. Loved making another Christmas page!

Friends! Seriously! Sketches are my absolute favorite to play with! I couldn't be more jazzed to dive into my kit and be able to use four different patterned papers on this layout. I had fun playing up the coral and minty bits as well as adding texture with the black/white twine. Feel free to check out my process video here: https://youtu.be/pwIG_ly6vhI

I've been a busy bunny since I got back to work after all the festivities and I have to say that I haven't had a minute to check out my Christmas photos yet. But I love making layouts with multiple photos to show details of decorations, candles, table settings etc which seems perfect for this sketch.
So I decided to make a layout and just indicate where the photos should be! That way, I can take my time to look though the several hundred Christmas photos I had and pick out four that sum up this year's perfect details!
I'm sharing my blank layout with you here and hopefully, later this weekend, I can finish it off and share it with you again! I stayed pretty true to the sketch but I'll be keeping this one on file because I love it and know that I can tweak it a gazillion times to suit my style and change it up.
Watch this space for more details on my finished layout. I'll be sharing as soon as I can. :-)

Here's what we have coming up for the rest of this month:
- January 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
- January 30th: We'll be offering another installment in our Killing Kits Series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcjanuary2020).
To GD Melodee and Master Forgers Cindy, Leslie, Lisa, and Shannon= these are all fabulous interpretations of the sketch! Thanks for sharing your creative layouts for Challenge #2! Marvelous layouts!
