February 2022 - Forgery on the Fourth

Forgery on the Forth is back again today to show you how it's possible to look at the inspiration kit and see which elements you love but that you don't have in your stash. You then take this idea and make your own version!

Remember we are being inspired by the Denim & Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit by Cocoa Daisy from February 2021.

Denim & Blush Modern Memory Keeping Kit

Master Forger Tara found some great labels online to purchase for only $3!  You don't always have to make stuff yourself. Here are some labels that you can purchase online From Illustrated Faith and print onto white cardstock that match the inspiration kit very well:

She also created some cute denim bows from her stash and a die.  Make sure you click on her blog above and she'll have more photos there.

For Master Forger Juliet the snipit word phrases jumped out to her. She knew forging these wouldn't be too difficult with her computer, some dingbats and her pen! She typed it all out, printed on some 110lb white cardstock and used her pen to draw around each one. Here is what she came up with.

Guest designer Gretl had this t say about her FoF project. "The Denim & Blush kit has some flair. I am not a big fan of flair.  As I was going through my stash I found these circle crystal stickers. They are quite old.  I also had Journal for Life hearts in ephemera and washi stickers. Cutting off white borders I could make mock flair in 3 sizes. I stuck the hearts to the back of the crystal stickers."

Master Forger Misty recreated lots of tickets like the embellishment die cuts pieces in the inspiration kit. A rectangle of cardstock (1.25" by 2.5") plus small rectangles (5/8" by 1.25") of patterned paper glued to either end, and hole punched with a half circle on each end create simple embellishments.
