July 2025 Challenge #1

Welcome back and now for the first of our challenges.

As it is a flashback month, I am using the challenge that we used back in 2014:  Use triangles.  It can be any size of triangles you like or a combination of sizes. The triangles must be obvious on the page.  We have lots of bright papers this month so make the brights work for you in smaller amounts.

Here's another reminder of our kit

Here's my initial one from back in 2014

I used both the cutfiles and cut some pattern papers into triangles for my layout

I used several triangles to help design a background for my layout. & used one of the cut off pieces for a journaling blocks!

Master Forger Jojo
I cut triangles out of different colors and patterns and placed them on a circle to form a sun, I really like how it came out, I wanted to make this a double page layout, but did something entirely different for the other half. I cant wait to see what every one does with their triangle layouts, there is so many fun triangle layouts on the web, I would love to try them all.

Master Forger Amanda

I used two different pattern papers and a core-dinations cardstock which I sanded, which gives the triangles for the layout. I picked the colors to specifically match with my kids eyes and shirt. Embellishments are mostly Jen Hadfield's "The Avenue," and I added more dimension by layering the orange flowers on top of the clustered embellishments with the orange. I finished my page off with some blue dots, and a mixed font title to emphasize those blue eyes.

Here's what is coming up for the rest of the month.

  • July 18th Challenge #2
  • July 22nd Challenge #3
  • July 24th Follower showcase
  • July 28th Sneak Peek (on the FaceBook Community Group)
  • July 30th # Baby use those scraps.

Have fun doing your first challenge using triangles.
