September 2026 - Inspiration Kit Reveal and Social Media Hop

 Hello and welcome to the 1st of the month Inspiration Kit Reveal for September! Tina here for this month's hosting duties. I recently was on an awesome vacation and wanted to scrap some of it in September so was blessed that a friend pointed out this kit for me and new it was perfect for this month's inspiration  This month we are using a kit from Traci Reed called Story Foundations:  Destinations.  Let me share the kit with you.

I have been a scrapbooker since 2004 and just love to put the photos and the stories together.

I live on an island at the Swedish West coast with my husband and two cats. My brother with family lives an hour away and the two kids make me a proud aunt. ❤️

 Here is my kit. I admit; I have gone rogue!
Usually the colors inspire me the most; this time it's the pattern the most :-)

I don't have any travel photos to scrap but will make it work for me in other ways.

In the paper pad I have one full sheet of each left + some small scraps. I do have some embellishments and stickers left as well. But I have added a lot of other things from my stash that I would love to get use of too.

August 2026 Inspiration Kit and Social Media Hop

 Welcome to August and a brand-new month of Counterfeit Kit fun!

I'm excited to be your Master Forger this month, and I think you're going to love the inspiration kit. For August I choose a kit from a UK company called Crafty Templates, and their May/June kit have lots of summertime, fresh fruit fun, with some great tags, some sequence and some great mixed media goodies!

Now, let's give a warm welcome to our Guest Designer, Sarah R, who participates often in our community!  

 I live in Newbury, Berkshire UK. I’m a PA to the Directors at a Building Society. I have two grown up children and one granddaughter Daisy who is 8. I’m a widow of 21 years so I know to make the most of every day - we’re only here for a visit. 

As a child I kept Newspaper cuttings of the Royal Family in a scrapbook and I started to scrapbook my photos about 13 years ago but stopped due to life events, however I really got back into it during 2020 - COVID and lockdown! I have followed Counterfeit Kit Challenge on the blog for years and a couple of years ago got stuck into creating kits from the inspiration each month. I have hundreds of photos still to scrap from many many years of snapping away and I like to use a defined kit for each event, occasion or holiday so CKC is great to help me focus on pulling different collections from my stash together to use this way for each project.  I love all the ideas each month and the support and comments posted in the group is so encouraging - everyone is so lovely.

I love CKC because it encourages me to use papers and supplies I already have, mix them with other kits, and make everything go further — especially all those odds and ends left over from older kits. This month’s inspiration kit is one I actually owned, as I’m a huge fan of Simple Stories, but I’ve used a lot of it already. By pulling in papers from my stash, I can recreate the same feel and make more pages for my summery photos.

I started by choosing papers that matched the inspiration kit, including unbranded fruit papers and some floral and checked designs from Carta Bella and Maggie Holmes — the patterns match even if the colours aren’t the same. Then I pulled out embellishing pieces such as file tabs, a few lemons, washi tape, pom-pom trim, and journaling cards that fit the theme and match the inspiration items. 

To stretch the kit even further, I added in older Simple Stories collections that share the same colour palette: Summer Snapshots, True Colors, Sun‑Kissed, plus the remaining pieces from Echo Park’s A Slice of Summer, which has lots of fruit elements. I also included my office style dies, a cut file (I have some birthday photos), some Vicki Boutin titles, matching Hobbycraft letters, and Bramble Fox Perspextives.

It’s a big kit, but I have plenty of photos to scrap — and hopefully more as we head into August. I’ve called my kit Lemon Sunshine.

March 2026 - Inspiration Kit Reveal and Social Media Hop!

  Welcome to March and the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog where we pick a kit that inspires us to shop our own stash and curate a similar kit.  Our goal here at CKCB is to help us to use our stash rather than to continue to add to it!  Of course, that's easier said than done with all of the deliciousness that's available for us to purchase!   HAHA!  This month, I am in charge of the blog and I have chosen a fun kit from Cocoa Daisy.  This is their February 2026 kit, Inklings, and it is full of deliciousness!  Let's share some photos of this kit with you:

This is such a fun, artsy kit and I really wish I could have gotten the kit myself!  HAHAHA!!!

Hi, crafty friends! My name is Nelya, I’m originally from Ukraine. I’m a mommy of 4; I mostly got into it after having our first baby. My style has definitely evolved since then! I love to glean inspiration from other crafters; I think that’s how I was able to grow so much. I like to start a layout in different ways. Sometimes photos, sometimes a product that I want to use or use up, sometimes a sketch or challenge… I love to join in challenges! I’ve also focused more of my attention on journaling and story telling rather than a photo itself. Everyday moments are my favorite to document. I love to hear stories from my childhood, and want to make sure my kiddos have that too. I scrap in a variety of sizes: 12x12, 8.5x11, 6x8, and TN - as well as an occasional pocket page in any of those sizes! Last year I achieved some crafty goals like being featured in a magazine and being on a Design Team, and recently I was on the Scrapbook Your Way podcast! January 2026 - Inspiration Kit and Social Media Hop!!!

 Hello and Happy New Year from all of the Master Forgers at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog!  We are thrilled to start off the new year with you and a new inspiration kit.  I'm Master Forger Vikki and I will be hosting the blog for the month of January.  I hope you have enjoyed the holidays and are ready to dive in to our challenges this month. For this month's inspiration kit, I've chosen a relatively new collection, Curiosities In Willow Grove by Vicki Boutin for 49 and Market.  This collection is just fantastic and I think it's a perfect choice to counterfeit.  Here are some pictures of the kit:

As you can see, this inspiration has a lot of papers and elements.  I don't know about you, but I'm already seeing opportunities to make forgeries.  I hope the collection I chose inspires you to pull from your stash and create your own kit.

November 2025 - Counterfeit Kit Challenge Inspiration Kit Reveal & Social Media Hop

 Welcome to November with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog! Can you believe we are already revealing the last inspiration kit for 2025? If you're new here, we are still around in December, but we take a little break from our regular schedule of events for some festive-fun! 

Now, without further delay, here is our inspiration kit for the month! October Glow by Cocoa Daisy! In my neck of the woods, it has finally started feeling like Autumn over the past few weeks, and this kit just fits the current vibe of my surroundings! I was personally drawn to this one because of the very warm-toned color palette and the beautiful watercolor-esqe designs! I hope you find something to inspire you to dig into your stash here! 

As always, we have plenty of inspiration from our team of Master Forgers (check out the hop below!), but we'd also like to introduce our November Guest Designer, Lisa Cuneo!
