March 2026 - Let's Use Those Scraps!

I hope you've had a good month and used up quite a bit of your kit this month!  Before, I talk about the last challenge of the month, let me remind you of our inspiration kit:

The last challenge of the month is always a challenge to use the scraps you have created this month from playing with your kit!  I hope you have lots of them left, or if you are good at using them as you go, NONE left.  However, if you do have a nice pile of scraps left, I'd like to encourage you to use them up.  There's so many ways that you can do this! 

Our Guest Designer, Neyla, gave us three layouts using scraps this month:

 

Master forger JoJo used her punches and her dies to create most of the embellishments on her page.  It's a great way to personalize your pages by color coordinating the embellishments to match your page.

 

Master Tara created a couple of layouts using scraps from her kit:

July 2025 Challenge #4 - Use Those Scraps!

It's the last day of the month and we have one more challenge for you, but first allow me to remind you of our Inspiration Kit:

 Our final challenge of the month is to use your scraps from your kit!!!  

Master Forger Tara used scraps to back a Cutfile.

Master Forger Amanda had lots of scraps to use this month, so she decided to make a whole bunch of banners with dies to use on a layout.

June 2025 - Challenge #4 - Use Those Scraps

 How is it already the end of the month? June just flew by and it's time to share our final challenge with you for our June kits!  Let me remind you of the inspiration kit:

 Our final challenge each month is always to challenge you in new ways to use your scraps from your wonderful creations this month!  You could create another layout! You could create a card or even a mini album.  Let's see what our Master Forgers created for you this month!

I actually have been using my scraps up as I go this month so all I had left was a partial sheet of the rainbow paper and the rusty background!!!  I fussy cut some of the rainbows out of the rainbow patterned paper and then tore off a border of it to use the B side (black with white dots) as a border along the top of the layout.  I used a stencil to add some grunge to the kraft cardstock that I used as a base for this layout.  I added in some leafy bits that i cut from other scraps.

Used up 3 strips of paper from her June kit. Scraps are not always small but can be substantial in size for a fun background.  

 

 Master Forger Misty
 She didn't have many scraps this time. But... she made efficient use of small scraps. She used them to back the cutfile that MK offered to the group (find it in the files section of our Facebook group). She also punched out stars to go with the cutfile for cohesive embellishing.

March 2024 Challenge #4 Use those scraps

 We are challenging you to use up your scraps from this kit on a layout or cards of your own.

Two of our Master Forgers are here to show you what they have done.

Master Forger JoJo

I really enjoy using the last little pieces left in my kit but sometimes they just don't

match together that great. If you cut them or punch them in smaller pieces, they actually

 do look great together. I cut 2 x 2 squares, destress the edges and gave them some pen detail.

Master Forger Julene

I had 2 half sheets of very busy paper joined in the centre.

 I did a triple mat with smaller scraps and used the remaining Darkroom Door filmstrip across the top. I added flowers plus a blue butterfly which covers a chunk cut out of the paper.

Now gather up those bits and show us your talents.
